Separation of Church and State

DEMANDS for a ban on “un-Islamic” activities in schools will be set out by the Muslim Council of Britain today.Targets include playground games, swimming lessons, school plays, parents’ evenings and even vaccinations. And the calls for all children to be taught in Taliban-style conditions will be launched with the help of a senior Government education adviser.

Professor Tim Brighouse, chief adviser to London schools, was due to attend the event at the capital’s biggest mosque.

His presence there was seen as “deeply worrying”, and a sign that the report was backed by the Government.

I love that Britain is a Multicultural Society. I love how we are a rich mix of beliefs and cultures. I love how many people have come to britain and integrated into our society.

This is not integration. This is a minority (1.5 million Muslims in the Uk atm) attempting to change the majority. If they want their children to be educated differently to everyone else they should be putting their children into private schools or, better yet, teaching their religion at home and in their temples/churches.

Is the MCB deliberatily trying to alienate the Muslims of Great Britain? They are under enough pressure since 9/11 as it is without deliberatly rocking the boat.

If this goes through, I will either remove my children from the education system or (more likely), up sticks and leave the sorry mess our beautiful country is rapidly becoming for foreign fields.
